Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Murata") has newly added a lineup of products that can be used in high temperature environments of 150°C (hereinafter "this product") to the common mode choke coil "PLT10HH series," which are suited to reducing noise on power supply lines for in-vehicle equipment. Mass production began in Jun 2025.

Nowadays, with the increasing sophistication of in-vehicle equipment following the advancement of autonomous driving technologies in the automotive market, the importance of noise suppression measures on power supply lines has been growing. This has led SMD type common mode choke coils that support high temperature environments of 150°C and large currents to be in demand.

Murata's conventional PLT10HH series was only capable of a current flow of 1A in a 125°C environment. However, by adopting new ferrite materials, this product not only enables operation at 150°C but also achieves up to approximately 10 times the current (compared to the conventional PLT10HH series) in a 125°C environment.
